Christ in His human nature was a perfect manifestation of selfless other-centered love. Taking our fallen human nature upon His divine nature, He conquered the fallen will by entire surrender of His Father. "Not My will but Thine be done," was the battle cry of Jesus. Christ was NOT carnal or sinful in any way, yet the humanity He assumed made it a necessity that He yielded His will to God just as we need to do. To redeem mankind, Christ had to come to where we are. Christ loves you, He has not only died to redeem you, but Jesus Christ has lived in your humanity and overcome its temptations. And he can live in you today and deliver you from the prison house of addiction and sin.
