This series, "The Winds of War," draws lessons from the ancient wars of the Jewish people and applies them to our lives. It starts with the premise set by the Apostle James, when he states in James 4:1 that war-all war-comes from within. It also elaborates on the idea that God and Satan both use war, though in vastly different ways and for very different ends.

It is the internal struggle played out on a public stage that is at the essence of what war is. In this series C. A. Murray seeks to have the listener examine himself when in the midst of conflict-to use the conflict itself as an opportunity to examine ourselves and to determine if the conflict is from the devil for our destruction or from the Lord for our growing. The series provides tools for making that determination and even gives a test to allow persons to see how they stack up. By peering into the world of, and personal lives of, the ancient Israelites,"The Winds of War" seeks to have us closely examine our own lives and verify that even in life's greatest struggles we are walking with Jesus.
